1971 tk Cricket Betting — From BPL to T20 World Cup, all markets in one place
1971 tk brings a wide sports betting experience for cricket fans in Bangladesh. From Match Winner to Top Batsman, live betting to Multi Bet — follow every moment of cricket more closely.
Cricket Formats and Tournaments — How to Bet on Each
Cricket is played in three main formats — T20, ODI and Test. Each format has a different pace, strategy and type of result, so the betting markets work differently as well.
T20: The fastest format. Results shift quickly in a 20-over match. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) and IPL (Indian Premier League) are the most popular T20 competitions. Bangladesh Tigers matches at the T20 World Cup create special excitement among fans across the country, including Dhaka.
ODI: In a 50-over match, strategy is more extensive. The ICC World Cup is played in ODI format, where the betting market is at its largest. Run rate and the balance of wickets in the middle overs become important for live betting.
Test: In a five-day match, a draw is a valid result. The betting market in this format includes 'Draw', which is absent in T20 and ODI. Pitch conditions, weather and the state of wickets carry extra weight in Test betting.
Alongside these three formats, 1971 tk also offers betting on football, tennis and a few other international sports. However, cricket is the most familiar and popular sport among Bangladeshi users, so this page focuses mainly on cricket in detail. Betting on Football and Other Sports — Differences from Cricket
Outside cricket, football is the second most popular sport in Bangladesh. Betting markets for the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga or international matches are structured differently from cricket. In football's Match Winner market there are three possible outcomes — Home win, Away win and Draw — whereas T20 or ODI cricket has only two.
Betting markets for tennis, badminton or kabaddi are comparatively straightforward — mainly based on winning sets or games. In cricket, however, a new situation arises with every ball, so there are far more live betting options.

Cricket vs Football Betting
- Cricket (T20/ODI): Two outcomes — win or loss
- Test Cricket: Three outcomes — win, loss or draw
- Football: Three outcomes — Home, Away, Draw
- Live Markets: Most variety in cricket
Popular Betting Markets — What You Can Bet on in Each
1971 tk offers various types of markets for cricket betting. Each market works differently — seven popular markets are explained below in plain language.
Match Winner
Betting on which of the two teams will win. Example: Team A and Team B — place your bet on the team you think will win. If the team you chose wins at the end of the match, your bet wins.
EasiestToss Market
A bet on which team will win the toss at the start of the match. This is unrelated to the match result — it depends only on the toss. It is a familiar market for those looking for a quick result.
Quick ResultTop Batsman
A bet on which batsman will score the most runs. This market is available separately for each team or for the match as a whole. A batsman's recent form is important here.
Player-BasedTotal Runs — Over / Under
A bet on whether a team's total runs in a set number of overs will be above (Over) or below (Under) a specified line. Example: whether total runs in the first 10 overs will be more than 80.
Runs-BasedMulti Bet
A single bet that links multiple matches or markets together. You win only if all selections are correct. Example: a combo bet predicting wins for three different teams in three separate matches.
High ReturnPowerplay Runs
A bet on how many runs will be scored in the first Powerplay (first 6 overs in T20) or a specific over block. Results come quickly and this is a very active market in live betting.
Popular in LiveTop Bowler
A bet on which bowler will take the most wickets. This market is more relevant on bowling-friendly pitches. It helps to consider the team's bowling lineup and the type of pitch before placing a bet.
Wickets-BasedHow to Read Odds — Decimal, Fractional and American
In betting, odds represent the potential amount you can win. Odds are written in three main formats — Decimal, Fractional and American (Money Line). They are equivalent to one another; only the way they are written differs.
A bet on Team A to win — odds are 2.25 in Decimal, 5/4 in Fractional and +125 in American. All three are the same calculation. With a ৳200 bet, if you win you get back ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 original stake). If the bet loses, the full ৳200 is gone.
Team B is the favourite — odds are 1.25 in Decimal, 1/4 in Fractional and -400 in American (American minus odds show how much you need to bet to win ৳100). With a ৳200 bet, if you win you get ৳250 (৳50 profit).
Decimal odds are the easiest — the larger the number, the higher the potential return, but the lower the chance of winning. Fractional and American formats are mainly used in Europe and the United States.
Live Betting — Odds Change as Wickets Fall and Overs Pass
Live or in-play betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. In cricket, the situation changes after every ball — when a wicket falls, the batting team's odds go up, and after a big six the odds drop quickly. This dynamic is what sets cricket live betting apart.
Suppose Team A was in a strong position at the start of the match but lost 3 wickets within 10 overs — at that moment Team A's odds will rise because their chance of winning has decreased. Conversely, Team B's odds will fall.
In live betting, decisions need to be made quickly. Keeping an eye on the match pace and the scorecard makes it easier to understand which market to bet on at any given moment. Remember, betting is a form of entertainment — every bet carries risk.
Both live betting and pre-match betting are available on 1971 tk's 1971 tk Bet platform.
Odds Movement in Live Betting
- When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds rise
- After a big six or four, odds fall
- When more runs are needed in the last over, odds rise
- When dew falls or the pitch slows down, a pacer's odds fall
Understanding Multi Bet Calculations
In a Multi Bet, the odds of multiple selections are multiplied together. This increases the potential return, but all selections must be correct — if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Three selections from three separate matches: odds 1.50, 1.70 and 1.80. The combined odds will be 1.50 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.59 (approximately). With a ৳100 bet, if all three selections are correct you will receive ৳459. If any one selection is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Multi Bet offers the chance for a high return, but the risk is also higher. Placing a Multi Bet across many matches at once increases the chance of an error. Betting should always be approached as entertainment.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind for Cricket Betting
Betting is a recreational activity. Keeping the following points in mind helps make the experience more disciplined.
-
Understand the format before betting: T20, ODI and Test each have different characteristics. It is easier to bet on the format you know well.
-
Set a fixed budget: Decide on a specific amount you will use for betting. Make a habit of not going beyond that limit.
-
Focus on one market: For new bettors, understanding one or two markets thoroughly is more effective. It is better not to place bets across all markets at once.
-
Be patient in live betting: Rather than making quick decisions mid-match, watch the score and situation for a moment before placing your bet.
-
Play responsibly: Betting is for enjoyment, not a way to recover losses. For more details, read the Responsible Gaming page.
-
Follow the 21+ rule: All betting and casino activities at 1971 tk are only for those aged 21 and above.
A Reminder About Betting
Betting is never a guaranteed source of income. Every bet carries the possibility of a loss. Bet within your means and play for enjoyment.
